Traffic Update

Plattsmouth Police Department

On Wednesday, March 16th starting at 8:00pm, the Nebraska Department of Roads will be shutting down one lane of Hwy. 75 just north of Hwy. 66 to work on setting beams for the new bridge over the railroad tracks. This project will take about 8 hours. The state is going to utilize signage and flaggers to alert drivers of the lane closure. If at all possible, please use alternate routes to avoid the area during this time.

From Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department:
With the lack of moisture this winter, coupled with warm temperatures, conditions are prime for uncontrollable grass, field, and timber fires. The Plattsmouth Fire District is in a burn ban until further notice! Today we were out on grass and timber fire with Murray and Louisville that resulted from a recreational fire in a burn ring. Be safe!

Due to costs, the Cass County Election Office is not sending postcards for Vote by Mail to voters. To get your EARLY VOTING BALLOT APPLICATION, you may pick one up at the post office, (where they were placed earlier this year), at the Election Office, or print this form and send it to Cass County Election Commissioner, 201 Main St, Plattsmouth NE 68048.

Take care of this SOON, so the Election Office will have time to process your request and get the ballot to you in time for the primary election in May.
