City of Plattsmouth
An update on the Plattsmouth Water Emergency:
On March 20, the City's Public Works Director issued a Water Emergency Order to supplement the Water Emergency Declaration. The City is requesting a voluntary reduction of 30% for all residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional water uses.
The City is prohibiting the following uses: irrigation of lawns and other landscaping; washing down of driveways and similar such outdoor uses; operation and filling of swimming pools; washing of vehicles; and operation of commercial car washes. The City is also requiring that restaurants serve water upon request only and that they use single serving table settings and glasses.
The City's water supply remains safe to drink. Plattsmouth has an emergency connection with Cass County Rural Water District No. 1 to provide water on short-term, restricted-use basis. Customer cooperation is appreciated.

Plattsmouth Public Library - Game of Thrones Contest
The Game of Thrones TV series will be airing its final season beginning on Sunday, April 14. The library is offering a “Character Prediction Pool” to see who is the best predictor of the fate of the characters in the series.
The library will provide a list of 30 characters from the show. Adults can indicate whether the characters will live or die by the last episode which airs on Sunday, May 19. If dead, you have the option to guess if they become a White Walker. There will also be an option to choose an additional character and predict their survival.
One point is awarded for each correct living or dead answer. However, if you indicate the White Walker status, you will either win or lose a point depending on whether or not you answered correctly. Bonus questions will earn you additional points. When the season ends on May 19, the scores will be tabulated. The top three winners will receive a $5 gift card to a local business.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate, but you don’t need to have a library card. One entry per person. All entries are due by 4:30 pm on April 14. Contact the library at (402) 296-4154 with any questions. http://plattsmouth.org/index.php/departments/library
