Christmas in Heaven
So this is the first year my Dad will be spending Christmas in Heaven. My dad LOVED this time of year. It dates back to our family tradition. (You can read about it here) This year will be the first year my dad will not be participating in this tradition. It will be 80 Years they have been doing it.
I'm not sure how I feel about my dad being gone yet. I know I'm sad, but I haven't really come to terms with him being gone. So many times I'm driving and I think...I haven't talked to my dad in a while. I'll look at my phone and it will click.
This Christmas has been hard though. I hear so many songs and think of my dad. So many signs from him. The day of his memorial service I told him he needed to send me pennies so I knew he was ok. I started finding pennies everywhere. I found them on the airplane flying back home. I found some in my dresser drawer. My girls have been even finding pennies and call them "Pappy Pennies". Can you believe we have a jar filled with pennies.
Even though my dad is not here on Earth with us anymore, I know where he is! I hope he has a fantastic Christmas with my many, many family members that have passed.
