Veterans Day: Honoring All Who Served

Veterans Day is observed every November 11. It recognizes and honors all men and women who have served in the United States military, whether during wartime or peacetime.
This includes veterans from every branch of service: the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
Veterans Day originally began as Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I. Fighting officially ended on November 11, 1918, at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. In 1954, Congress officially renamed the holiday Veterans Day to honor American veterans of all wars.
It is a day to say "Thank you for your service"
to those who have worn the uniform and served our country.
