When they say that the FLU is one bad bug, they aren't lying. I personally haven't dealt with the flu, that is until recently. My oldest daughter, who is four, came down with it on Friday she started showing symptoms. By Saturday she was down for the count. As a mother watching her struggle with a high temp, low temp, very high temp, coughing, sneezing, stuggling to breathe. It truely is just heartbreaking. My husband and I were very scared for her. Motrin and Tylenol were our best friends.
So this flu season get your vaccine to help fight this bad bug and please stay home if you are sick.
We let her out of quarentine for a little bit, but she had to wear her "cool mask"!

Like the emergency room of a hospital, the American Red
Cross must be prepared to respond to patient emergencies with blood products 24 hours a day,
seven days a week and 365 days a year. Through the dedication of blood
donors, the Red Cross can be prepared day in and day out, no matter
The need is when or where blood is needed.
Readily available blood helps save the lives of people like David Zien,
who was on his way home on his motorcycle when the SUV in front of
him lost control during a lane change and flipped onto its side, sending
Zien nearly 350 feet. He was transported by helicopter to a hospital,
where he received 32 pints of blood. Today, Zien says he attributes
much of his survival to the generosity of blood donors.
All blood types are currently needed. For more information and to make
an appointment, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
